Kill Your Generated Mocks: Compile-Time Mocking with Swift Macros
Lightning talk
Our test suite had a generated mock file for every protocol, all of it produced by Sourcery, and that pile of generated code turned into its own maintenance tax. SwiftMockKit does the same job at compile time from one annotation. Writing it let us delete about 91,000 lines of checked-in mocks. The talk covers when file-based mocking stops paying off, how we moved a large fintech app off Sourcery without a big-bang rewrite, and the places Swift macros still can't reach.
